Breathalyzer BACscan OCIGO

BACscan^® OCIGO is the first handheld sobriety tester made in spectrophotometric technology, which allows you to quickly and easily check the alcohol content in the exhaled air.

Until recently, breathalyzers with sensors of this type, due to the high purchase price, large dimensions and weight, were used only for stationary testing, e.g. at police stations or in courts.

From now on, thanks to BACscan^® OCIGO, every user gains the ability to carry out accurate and precise measurements confirmed by the European standard EN16280 and numerous declarations.

BACscan^® OCIGO is a device for the 21st century. It has two modes of operation: as a stand-alone unit or with the use of an extensive mobile application available for iPhones and Android smartphones, with which the breathalyzer connects thanks to the built-in Bluetooth 4.0 module.

In the case of measurement without the application, the breathalyser guides the user through the entire testing process, through clear messages displayed on the screen. The test result appears on the OLED screen in just a few seconds after the measurement is completed and is displayed for 10 seconds. After exceeding the set safety limit, the message "attention" will be additionally displayed on the screen.

In the case of measurement using the application, the result will be displayed on the smartphone screen along with information when the tested person will be able to safely sit behind the wheel. In the application, the user can choose the language version, change the measurement units, set the measurement limit and grant access to the camera and geolocation services to save accurate measurement data.

The device has a built-in counter of performed measurements. It is worth mentioning that due to the technology used, the test should be performed in the temperature range of 10 ~ 40°C. After switching on, the device automatically detects the ambient temperature and displays an appropriate message in the event of operation outside the recommended environmental parameters.

Innovative technology supported by a specially designed mouthpiece allows you to warn the user of false positive results by detecting alcohol residue in the mouth. Each time the mouthpiece is replaced before the next measurement, the risk of falsified measurements is minimized.

BACscan^® OCIGO is powered by a lithium battery with a capacity of 860mAh, which allows for about 75 tests. Charging is done using a micro USB cable (type B), which is included in the kit, and the time to fully charge the battery is about 2.5 hours.
