AZ 8922 is a high-performance digital sound level meter with two (A and C) correction characteristics.
Filter A corresponds to the frequency sensitivity of the human ear. It is used to measure the ambient noise level.
Filter C with a flat characteristic is used to measure the noise level generated by mechanical devices. The sonometer measures the sound pressure level in six ranges: 30 ~ 80dB, 40 ~ 90dB, 50 ~ 100dB, 60 ~ 110dB, 70 ~ 120dB, 80 ~ 130dB, which can be selected automatically or set by the user.
Measurement results are displayed on a multifunctional LCD panel with an accuracy of ±1.5dB. The resolution of indications for the entire range is 0.1dB.
Device has the option of measuring in the Fast Mode - 125 msec and in the slow mode Slow Mode - 1 sec., Background noise measurement function, the function of holding the maximum indication on the display (MAX Hold function), the function of saving the maximum or minimum value in the memory measurement and battery discharge signaling.
RS 232 port enables the connection of the device with a PC in order to save the current indications after installing the software (not included in the set). The backlight function of the LCD panel makes it easier to read indications at low light levels, e.g. at night or in poorly lit rooms.
AZ 8922 is designed to be mounted on a tripod. It has a calibration port and a universal AC/DC connector for connecting external devices such as: analyzer, recording device. The device meets the requirements of the IEC 651 Type 2 / ANSI1.4 Type 2 standard.
Meter is powered by one 9V alkaline battery and has an automatic cut-off function after 20 minutes of inactivity (with an option to deactivate).
